‘The Road Less Travelled’
An exhibition featuring works by Lucas Heights Community School students.
Lucas Heights Community School was established in 1992, at Barden Ridge, located in the Sutherland Shire. To ensure the development of individual talents, our school provides diverse opportunities for all students. At Lucas Heights Community School students achieve success through quality programs including the creative and performing arts. The school has programs that are challenging and encourages high achievement from Kindergarten through to Year 12.
The Road Less Travelled is an exhibition of works that make reference to the act of someone who takes ‘the road less travelled’, freeing themselves of society’s conditions that are sometimes placed upon us. It allows the artist to make their own choice throughout their artistic journey and practice. Most people would opt for the easier choice to get to their destination. However, the road less travelled opens up the portal of striving for conceptual and material practice that reveals itself through the experience of the artistic ‘traveller’. The road less travelled can make all the difference in achieving the desired success through the choices and intentions of the artist.
